Every two years since 2014 Arts House, Theatre Works and Footscray Community Arts Centre springs audiences out of their comfort zone with experimental, participatory and interactive arts works under one banner: the Festival of Live Art.
Live art happens as encounters between artists and audiences. . Designed for curious audiences of one or two -or hundreds – the Festival of Live Art offers journeys both microscopic and epic..
The next (third) edition of the Festival of Live Art will be held from 13 – 25 March 2018.
About the 2016 festival
The second biennial Festival of Live Art (FOLA) was presented in Melbourne 1 – 13 March 2016 and attracted attendances of 11,711 over ten venues and involved 329 artists in 29 spaces and over 160 events.
